Welcome to the Clarke Sinclair Memorial
Archery Scholarship (CSMAS) website! The Scholarship was established in
Honor of Clarke Sinclair (April 1989-Sept 2004). Clarke was a Cadet
recurve archer who not only loved the sport, but also achieved a great
deal in a very short amount of time.
Our corporation is dedicated to the promotion of competition in elite
amateur archery. We provide charitable support to youth and collegiate
archers who do not receive funding from national associations or full
funding from Universities.
Currently we offer scholarships to youth and collegiate archers that have
been selected for national teams. The National Archery Association is
unable to provide funding for any archers selected for the collegiate
teams and limited funding to some of the youth archers that are selected
for the Junior World Championships. From our own experience, we know how
difficult and expensive it is to fund elite archers to these competitions.
Our dreams are bigger than this though. We would eventually like to fully
fund any ‘unfunded’ youth archer. We would like to help
promising youth archers who don’t have access to coaching. We would like
to be able to provide funding for backup equipment for those traveling to
international events on behalf of the U.S. We would like to see an archer
make a team, be handed the funding necessary to make their dreams a
reality and let them be home practicing for the tournament instead of
selling raffle tickets, or putting up posters, or knocking door to door
for assistance. We would like to see our elite youth and collegiate
archers succeed at international tournaments. We would like to become a
valuable resource to the archery community.
Please visit our "Donations" page to find out how you can help these young
archers achieve their dreams.
