
Lindsey Carmichael is an English major and the Vice President of the Archery Club at the University of Texas at Austin. She was a member of the 2004 U.S. Paralympic Archery Team and competed in Athens where she set a Paralympic and a World Record and finished in sixth place overall. In the summer of 2006 she competed in the World University Archery Championships in Vinicne, Slovak Republic as a member of the 2006 U.S. Collegiate Archery Team. She finished 2006 in eighth place among able-bodied U.S. Adult Female Recurves. In 2007 she was ranked fourth in the world in her division among paralympic archers. At present she is living a few miles north of Austin with her family, where she is busy writing a novel and training for the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
